Picture Perfect Beach Cottage Garden

I really don't know where to begin with documenting the beauty that I have seen here in Cape Cod... For a house lover like myself, I equated it to how a man would feel at the Playboy mansion. Every corner turned is a picture perfect moment.
Now that is one beautiful shed!

The drive up here was hellish and, instead of the anticipated 6 hours, we were stuck in the car for 11! The kids were troopers, though, and only started to lose the will to live about 30 minutes away from the cottage. On arrival, though, I can confirm that it was well worth the wait; it actually looked more picturesque than the website had lead us to believe.

The kids ran around like they'd just landed in Santa's grotto... more than likely due to the obscene amounts of candy we'd been feeding them and not due to the decor... although my eldest did (very enthusiastically) say that she 'just loved the beach cottage'... That's my girl...
Who'd have thought a lobster cage could look so good?
I don't even know what this is but it sure fits in!

Anyways, in my excited state, I managed to drop my camera on the floor... Arghhhh!  Luckily, we'd brought a spare one along (I think the hubby is used to my clumsiness). On top of all these mini disasters, we found out that the beaches have been closed for swimming due to 5 great white shark sightings 100 yards from the shore! Yes, I did say 5 (the hubby commented that they must all be on their hols too). But, all this doesn't matter... I would be perfectly happy just plodding around the garden...
Mental note - buy buoys for the garden!

I think this is one holiday where I will be left feeling truly inspired... Can life get any better than this? Let's see what the rest of the week has in store...
I love this cheeky chappy peaking out...

P.S. Did I mention that I just lurve Cape Cod??
Ok... I think you have seen enough of the shed now!
