Ah come, come quickly, spring!
come and lift us towards our culmination, we myriads;
we who have never flowered, like patient cactuses.
Come and lift us to our end, to blossom, bring us to our summer
we who are winter-weary in the winter of the of the world.
D. H. Lawrence, Craving for Spring
Just checking... it was the first day of spring the other day, wasn't it? Well, I patiently await you Spring... My Birks are by the front door...
... my spring coat is hung in the closet... my gardening bag is poised and waiting for action... and my toes are awaiting a much needed pedicure, in anticipation of bare foot strolls along the beach...
... I'm ready, when you are...

But at least
we know it is
short-lived, right??
And think how
SWEET it is going
to be when it
finally arrives,
for good.
Happy Thursday!

ReplyDeleteLaura, you still have snow...we haven't had any since Christmas...quite a surprise. However, the last few days for us have been brilliant...lots of sunshine and a balmy 16 degrees! However, I think we're being lulled into a false sense of security...bad weather is coming on the weekend...of course! Robx

What lovely photographs! If that means it's autumn here in Aus, why do I have spring bulbs out?

So sorry to see you still have snow - but at least you have some daffodils to look out your window. Hopefully your last snow of the season? Sending warm thoughts your way XOL
